Tearoom and Garden

No, we do not have either at Caffyns just yet, but we do have them close by at County Gate...

On behalf of the Exmoor National Parks Authority, we recently re-opened the Visitor Information Centre at County Gate on the main A39 Lynmouth to Minehead road, complete with indoor and outdoor refreshment areas. The location of the Centre is breathtaking, overlooking as it does the wide sweep of the Badgworthy and Doone Valleys on one side, and the dramatic fall of the moor away to the sea on the other.

Apart from being easily accessible by car and bike, our tearoom and garden at the Centre are in the perfect location for walkers as they lie on both the South West Coast Path and the Two Moors Way. Apart from our famous cream teas, we offer teas, coffees, soft drinks, snacks, baguettes and other refreshments...perfect for those who have just walked up a thirst and appetite! Then again you could just drive up here, relax and admire the views over a pot of tea.

The County Gate Visitor Centre contains a wealth of information, leaflets and displays by the Exmoor National Park, and is well worth a visit to help you get the most out of your stay here.
